It seems wood is up to a revival. The oldest of all materials has been reinvented in the last few decades, taking a huge jump into the future. And that future is promising. Wood from sustainably managed forests is a valid alternative to other more energy consuming materials.

However, it goes further than that, forest development and wood production is currently the only big scale solution for carbon absorption and storage. Encouraging the use of wood means actively countering climate change.
